Children attending summer day camp at the Salvation Army will be welcomed into a safe environment where they can grow in mind, body, and spirit. Our Salvation Army Day Camp promotes an accepting, positive, and challenging atmosphere for young people of all backgrounds, circumstances, races, creeds, and religions, providing a safe place to learn and develop into productive citizens.

Throughout the summer, campers will engage in a variety of activities, ranging from fun recreational pursuits to challenging academic exercises. The camp focuses on key areas such as health and wellness (encompassing both emotional and physical well-being), life skills, academics, and recreation. A typical day at camp might include art classes, martial arts, dodgeball, brass band, video games, acting classes, and often a combination of all these activities packed into one exciting day.

Campers will read daily, play games with friends, and build positive relationships with their peers and supportive staff. They will also enjoy several field trips, including visits to the pool and other fun outings.

Additionally, campers will be recognized for their achievements and will have a say in their camp experience, allowing them to choose programming that best suits their development.
