Donate Your VehicleMaking the decision to support a local nonprofit is one of the greatest gifts you can give your community, as well as the agency. At The Salvation Amy, we respect that there are many ways of giving.
Monetary donations serve as the agency’s lifeline. Without the generous support of donors, it would be impossible to serve thousands of men, women and children each year. See more on monetary donations (create link that will be the info on the following page). Donations can be immediate and recurring, stocks, bonds, or a planned gift in your will or trust.
Others choose to donate goods, whether those goods/used be new items to be used by our clients or items that can be sold in our Salvation Army Family stores. Clothing and small household items can be dropped off at our Administrative and Shelter complex located at 1204 14th Street West. Or, for larger items, including furniture, you can call 1-800-SA-Truck or use the website www.satruck.org to schedule an appointment.
Giving of time and working directly with staff and/or clients is often a very rewarding experience for our volunteers. The Salvation Army offers both year-round and seasonal volunteer opportunities. Angel Tree is one of the most common holiday programs associated with The Salvation Army, you can support the Angel Tree program by hosting an Angel Tree or Toy Drive, or simply by adopting a child(ren) from our Angel Tree site. Finally, for those not interested in purchasing toys, we accept monetary donations to support the Angel Tree program, which is used to purchase toys when we have shortages. The services and programs provided by The Salvation Army are funded by the generosity of our donors. While we receive some grant funding, the bulk of our revenue stems from local support.

For those things that have lost their usefulness in your home, but are still in good and usable condition, you can donate goods to The Salvation Army. We have two ways of using these items. First, you can designate that they be used by clients we serve in our shelters. We advise calling first to make sure it is something we can accept.
Second, your donated goods can be sent to one of our Salvation Army Family Stores. Funds raised at our resale stores support the Adult Rehabilitation Center. You can drop off small items at our administrative office during business hours. You can also schedule a pickup for larger items, such as furniture, by you can call 1-800-SA-Truck or use the website www.satruck.org to schedule an appointment.
